In the morning, Raf and John went SCUBA diving pretty early. Libby had to
drive Dan, Amanda, and Natalie to the airport so I said goodbye to them
before they left. I knew I'd still see everyone around when I got home
except for Natalie, so it was a little sad to see her leave. She was really
a lot of fun and fit into our group very well considering she only knew her
cousin Amanda coming into this whole situation. I know she had an
unbelievable time so it's all good.
When John and Raf returned from SCUBA diving, the 4 of us left grabbed
lunch. I had a pork sandwich and then went to the beach with John and Raf
for a while. We rested up and the 3 of us later went to another small local
place for tacos and fajitas. I had extra food, which we took with us and
dropped off in this area with lots of skinny stray cats in town. Then Raf
and I went souvenir shopping for a little while. I almost forgot to mention
that there's lots of vendors on the main street in town that try to get you
to come look at their goods or sign you up for a timeshare or tour. This
one guy earlier in the week would say, "Hallo friends! I've got what you
need." Raf and I joked about that whenever we walked through that section
of town.
We walked back home with our souvenirs and dropped them off. Then Libby and
the 3 of us went out to DJ's one more time. Antonio stopped by and the 5 of
us played some card games to pass the time. We were going to go to the Blue
Parrot but I wanted to check out Club Bali down the street again. We
stopped by and found out there was no cover. When we walked inside, we
discovered that's because it was not very crowded inside. It was still
relatively early so we decided to have a drink or two and see if the action
picked up a little. Things were slow for a while, but we were having a good
time anyway. "My Humps" was played and Antonio did a little dance to it.
As more people trickled in over time, we eventually decided to stay and have
a few rounds of tequila shots I didn't really need. Unfortunately, it never
got busy enough for them to do any shows because I was hoping to see the
hula hoop chick again! Instead, we ended up dancing with the girls around.
It was still fun but the tequila shots did me in and I was more than a
little drunk. We had to be up at 10:00 AM for our flight in the morning, so
it was time to leave around 4:30 AM and get Pizza Pazza once more for the
walk home! When we were almost back, my drunken judgment convinced me it
would be fun to go running wildly through this hilly, high-grass field (with
who knows what else) near John and Libby's place. There's no way I would
have done that if I was sober, LOL! I just remember Libby laughing
uncontrollably on the sidewalk! It was the last funny thing that would
happen on our vacation and I have a grass stain because of it! In the
morning, we SOMEHOW woke up and John drove Raf and I back to the airport for
our flight home. It was an incredible vacation! Thanks to John and Libby
for making it all possible.
